Terms of Service

1. The service

DeckAnvil analyzes Magic: The Gathering decklists you provide and returns ratings, statistics, strengths and weaknesses, combo detection and suggested card changes. Output is generated by automated rules and AI models. It is informational opinion, not a guarantee of tournament legality, competitive performance or card pricing accuracy.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA/UK) to create an account.
• You are responsible for your credentials and everything done under your account.
• You must give accurate information and may not share, sell or transfer your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for other users or for us.

3. Free and Pro tiers

The Free tier is supported by third-party advertising and may include usage limits, such as a cap on analyses per day and limits on saving reports. The Pro tier is a paid subscription that removes ads and unlocks additional features. Feature sets, limits and prices may change; material changes to a paid plan will be communicated before they affect your next renewal.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the decklists, deck names, notes and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the service, including sending it to our infrastructure and AI providers to produce your analysis. If you publish a deck or report to the community pages or via a share link, you grant us and other users the right to view and display that content until you unpublish or delete it.

You confirm that Your Content does not infringe anyone's rights and does not include personal data of others or unlawful material.

5. Acceptable use

• No scraping, bulk automated querying, or reselling analyses or our output as a service.
• No attempts to bypass tier limits, paywalls, ad delivery, authentication or rate limits.
• No reverse engineering, probing, load-testing or interfering with the service or its security.
• No uploading malware, or posting unlawful, hateful, harassing or infringing content.
• No use of our content or output to train competing machine-learning models.
• No impersonation or misrepresentation of affiliation with us or with Wizards of the Coast.

6. Our intellectual property

The DeckAnvil name, logo, site design, scoring engine, curated data sets and written explanations are owned by Average Build LLC and protected by intellectual property law. You may use analyses we generate for your own personal or internal use, including sharing individual reports, but you may not systematically copy or redistribute them commercially. 7. Third-party services

The service relies on third parties including Scryfall for card data and prices, deck hosting sites you import from, AI model providers, our cloud and authentication provider, payment processors and advertising networks. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability or accuracy, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that ratings, legality checks, prices, combo detection or suggestions are correct, complete or current. You are solely responsible for verifying deck legality with official rules and current banned lists before any event.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Average Build LLC and its members, officers and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill or purchases of physical cards made in reliance on our output. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Average Build LLC from claims, damages and reasonable legal fees arising from Your Content, your use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. On termination, sections covering content licenses already granted for published content, disclaimers, liability limits and indemnity survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will change the "last updated" date and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. The parties will first try to resolve any dispute informally by contacting legal@deckanvil.app. Any unresolved dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in that jurisdiction, and you waive any objection to venue there. Claims must be brought individually, not as a class action, to the extent permitted by law.
